When the image splits into three, concentrate on the center image and you should see the 3D effect. You don't have to cross your eyes, but you can as a last resort.

That's a super 3D effect. I'd be interested in knowing more about the camera and how you processed and arranged the display of the images. Might be fun to make a hand-held viewer too.
