This is mostly a pinhole place, but sometimes, oftentimes, I wander around with other analog cameras.

On the Porch
Fort McKavett, Texas.
I'm a pushover for old boards and deeply grooved floorboards. The stories they could tell.....
There's just something about the allure of the way the softer wood wears away with time to leave the harder heartwood intact that makes me wish I could be a tiny insect and inspect the grooves a bit closer.
4 x 5 pinhole box with sheet film
This is from the archives too and was made the same time of my previous post here.
The lunar eclipse went well so I'll be back to my normal spastic posting soon.
Thanks for stopping by. I truly appreciate it.

old stuff
Not only is the chair and building it sits in old, but the photo is from my archives, so it's old too.
It is pinhole, made with a Zero Image 2000 and some Fuji Acros 100.
I'm posting an oldie because I'm prepping for the total lunar eclipse in the morning...
Oh, the place above is Fort Mckavett, Texas. It's an old frontier fort sitting at the headwaters of the San Saba River. The area is full of history and worth a visit if you ever happen to be in that part of the world.
In nearby Menard, Texas is a local hangout called Ojeda's. They've got some mean home cooked Mexican food if you're hungry!

Pete's...a portal of a different sort
Yeah, I'm kind of stuck on portals lately...but what the heck.
Since it's gotten me out and about with my pinhole, it's probably a good thing.
The weather was nice today, so I took a short drive over to Moriarty with one of my little tin can pinholes loaded with paper.
Pete's is an old bar and has been closed for some time, but it has a certain seediness about it that I'm attracted to for making photos.
As usual this was dunked in caffenol and scanned then inverted.

Portals....
I like the idea of portals...whether it's just a gate down the road or something with a bigger and deeper meaning.
Tin can pinhole box stuffed with a paper negative, then propped on the tailgate of my truck letting the light in for a bit.

South of Nowhere
It's been a while since I've posted here, but time seems to flush away faster and faster these days.
This was made with a homemade pinhole on some old peel apart Polaroid film... too bad the film is no longer made because it was really special. The imposters of today are not quite as good, but they are getting there.
There's nothing better than instant fun...well maybe except for peanut butter and chocolate, but you can't put that stuff in a camera safely.
Happy New Year.
